Advanced lattice geometry absorbs energy on impact. The structure disperses force across a wider surface area rather than concentrating it at a single point like a rigid shell.

The three-dimensional gyroid creates multiple pathways for energy to disperse. As impact travels through the wave-like lattice, energy is absorbed progressively along multiple pathways rather than transferring instantaneously into the body.

Energy is redirected away from the sensitive parts of the body, not back into it. Peak force is reduced by stopping a projectile over a greater distance and time. The result: shock is absorbed into the product, not your body.

A cricket ball at 140–160kph carries enormous energy. When it hits a rigid shell, physics doesn't care about marketing claims. The energy has to go somewhere, and for a hundred years, that somewhere has been you.

Plastic, titanium, aluminium alloy. Harder materials, same result. They resist penetration. They transfer force straight back into your body.

The Origin Story

Co-developed by Ruben Clinton and Elliot Santner, the TruGuard was born after a serious groin injury in training exposed the limits of traditional rigid-shell protectors. The shell held. The body didn't.

That experience sparked 2 years of engineering, testing, and on-pitch refinement with elite cricketers before a single unit reached market.

When the concept came to Aero, the fit was immediate. The Aero P1 TruGuard Groin Protector is now the foundation of a new protection platform, built by the close-body protection specialists.
